DAY 01 – DEOGHAR ARRIVAL
On your arrival at Deghar Airport / Deghar or Jasidih Railway Station, get a transfer to your hotel. Freshen up. Visit the Satsang Ashram in the evening, a serene spiritual centre established by Thakur Anukulchandra, featuring a museum and peaceful prayer halls. Overnight stay at Deoghar.
DAY 02 – DIVINE DARSHAN & LOCAL HERITAGE OF DEOGHAR
Start early at Baba Baidyanath Dham, one of India’s 12 sacred Jyotirlingas. Begin with a ritual bath at the nearby Shivganga sacred pool. In the afternoon, visit the Naulakha Mandir, a 146-foot-high temple dedicated to Radha-Krishna, known for its intricate stone carvings reminiscent of Belur Math. Explore the Ramkrishna Mission Vidyapeeth, a prestigious educational campus with a beautiful temple and lush surroundings. Return to your hotel in the evening & overnight stay.
DAY 03 – TRIKUT & TAPOVAN EXCURSION
Post breakfast, head to Trikut Pahar (Trikuta Hills). You can take a ropeway (if operational) or trek to the peaks for panoramic views of the region. Visit Tapovan Caves and Hills, a historic meditation spot with natural rock formations and a Shiva temple inside a cave. End the day at Nandan Pahar, a hilltop park with a Nandi Temple and amusement rides, perfect for catching the sunset. Return to Deoghar for overnight stay.
DAY 04 – BASUKINATH EXCURSION
Today take a day trip post breakfast to Baba Basukinath Dham (approx. 45 km away). A pilgrimage site dedicated to Lord Shiva, famously referred to as the “Faujdari Dham” or a “civil court,” where it is believed that Lord Shiva acts as a judge and hears the petitions of his devotees directly. It is tradition for pilgrims to visit this temple after Baidyanath Dham to complete their pilgrimage. On the way back, stop at Harila Jori (also spelled Harla Jori or Harihar Jori), a peaceful site where mythology says Lord Shiva and Lord Vishnu once met. A stream flowing nearby is famously known as Ravana Jori. Visit Haritkinath Temple – features an ancient Shiva Temple where the Lingam is believed to have sprouted from under a Haritaki tree. Also you may see Shool Harini – a large sacred water tank where pilgrims often bathe to refresh themselves. Return to deoghar in the evening for overnight stay.
DAY 05 – DEOGHAR DEPARTURE
Spend your final morning at Mayurakshi River for a quiet stroll or if time permits, a quick visit to Mandar Hill, famous for its mythological connection to the ‘Samudra Manthan’. Then get a drop at Deghar Airport or Deoghar/Jasidih Raiway Station for your return journey.
