DAY 01 – DIMAPUR ARRIVAL – KOHIMA
On your arrival at Dimapur Airport / Railway Station, meet with our driver and proceed to Kohima – the capital of Nagaland. Check-in to your hotel. Visit the Nagaland State Museum for cultural context or Spend the evening at leisure. Overnight stay at Kohima.
DAY 02 – KOHIMA SIGHTSEEING
Post breakfast visit The Kohima War Cemetery. Constructed in the memory of the officers and soldiers who made supreme sacrifices during World War II, the war cemetery attracts hundreds of visitors every year including the relatives of those martyrs. Visit Kisama Heritage Village located on the slopes of a hill between Kigwema and Phesama Villages in the Kohima District. The Heritage Village houses the morungs of all the 16 ethnic groups of Nagaland and is designed in the form of an ancient Naga village to give the feel of an authentic traditional Naga village. Also visit Kohima Cathedral Church. Evening at leisure. Overnight in Kohima.
DAY 03 – DZULEKE EXCURSION
Today go out for Dzuleke Village excursion, located about 40 km from Kohima, is a serene eco-tourism destination renowned for its lush green hills, traditional Angami Naga houses, and dense forests. It is a tranquil, offbeat location offering nature walks, trekking, bird watching, and a, digital detox, often described as a peaceful, sustainable community. Full of nature & No Mobile Network – provides a true escape from digital connectivity, making it ideal for relaxing. Return to Kohima for overnight stay.
DAY 04 – KHONOMA EXCURSION
Post breakfast, drive to Khonoma – Asia’s First Green Village. The village is referred to as Khwüno-ra. Home to the father of Naga Nationalist Movement `Angami Phizo`.Take a guided walk through terraced fields and learn about the village’s world-famous nature conservation efforts. Have Lunch at Khonoma Village. Try some authentic Naga delicacies. Since headhunting was part of the culture of the Naga tribes this village is surrounded by a fort Semoma. Dotted by small houses on either side of the cliff, a 190-year old fort straddles at the edge of the cliff. This village was also used by the British during the war because of the safety. Later, drive back to Kohima for overnight stay.
DAY 05 – KOHIMA – DIMAPUR VIA TUOPHEMA
Check-out of your Kohima hotel & proceed to visit Tuophema Tourist Village – a community-run heritage village designed to showcase Naga traditions. located about 40 kilometers from Kohima and offers fascinating insights of rural life. The village has 12 uniquely crafted cottages, representing the 12 different khels of the village. Later get transferred to Dimapur. Spend the rest of the evening at leisure. Overnight stay at Dimapur.
DAY 06 – DIMAPUR DEPARTURE
Check-out of your hotel post breakfast and proceed to visit the Kachari Ruins if time permits. Get a drop at Airport / Railway Station for your onward journey.
