DAY 01 – AGARTALA ARRIVAL & SIGHTSEEING
Arrive at Agartala Airport / Railway Station. Proceed to your hotel & check-in. Then start your local sightseeing. Visit the magnificent Ujjayanta Palace, a former royal palace that now serves as the State Museum. Relax in the serene Heritage Park, featuring miniature replicas of various historical monuments of Tripura. If scheduling allows (usually weekends), visit the Akhaura Check Post to witness the friendly India-Bangladesh border flag-lowering ceremony. Overnight stay at Agartala.
DAY 02 – NEERMAHAL & TRIPURA SUNDARI EXCURSION
Today post breakfast travel south to explore some of Tripura`s unique natural and architectural wonders. Drive to Melaghar to visit Neermahal Water Palace, the only water palace in Eastern India. Take a boat ride across Rudrasagar Lake to explore the palace grounds. In the afternoon Visit the revered Tripura Sundari / Tripureshwari Temple (Matabari), one of the 51 Shakti Peethas in India. The large Kalyan Sagar Lake is adjacent to the temple. In the evening, If time permits, visit Sepahijala Wildlife Sanctuary on the way back to Agartala for overnight stay.
DAY 03 – DUMBOOR LAKE & CHABIMURA EXCURSION
Today involves a drive to Udaipur, the “city of lakes” and a hub for temple. Head to Dumboor Lake, known for its picturesque views and 48 islands. You can enjoy birdwatching and a relaxing boat ride here. Later, proceed to Chabimura, also known as Devatamura. This site features massive rock-cut sculptures of Hindu deities (Shiva, Vishnu, Durga, etc.) on the steep banks of the Gomati River, dating back to the 15th-16th centuries. A river safari (boating) is essential to view these carvings and enjoy the “Amazon of North-East India” scenery. Return to your hotel at Agartala in the evening.
DAY 04 – KASBA KALIBARI & BASHGRAM EXCURSION
After breakfast, drive to visit the revered Kasba Kalibari (Kamalasagar Kali Temple). This serene temple is situated on a hillock overlooking the beautiful Kamala Sagar Lake, right next to the India-Bangladesh border. Later, head to Bashgram, a unique bamboo resort and eco-tourism destination. Spend some time there. On the way back to Agartala visit Chaturdasha Temple. This temple was built in honour of fourteen deities, together called the 14 God`s Temple also. Devotees visit the temple for the Kharchi Festival. In the evening, spend some time in Agrtala Local Market including Purbasha for shopping etc. Overnight stay at Agartala.
DAY 05 – AGARTALA DEPARTURE
On the concluding day of your trip to Tripura, proceed to get dropped at Agartala Airport / Railway Station for your journey back home.
