DAY 01 – IMPHAL ARRIVAL
On your arrival at Bir Tikendrajit International Airport, Imphal, get assistance and warm traditional welcome by our representative. Transfer to hotel. Evening free for leisure or for shopping in the famous Khwairamband Bazaar or Ima Keithel, the largest all-women-run market in the world – one of the main attraction of Imphal. You also may visit Shree Govindajee Temple – a historic 19th-century Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Krishna and Radha, known for its twin golden domes and Vaishnavite cultural significance. Built in 1846 by Maharaja Nara Singh, it serves as a central spiritual hub, located adjacent to the former Royal Palace (Sana Konung). Overnight stay at Imphal.
DAY 02 – IMPHAL LOCAL SIGHTSEEING
Today after breakfast start for a Full day city tour of Imphal city. You will visit Kangla Fort including Pakhangba Temple within the complex and Kangla Museum, Mahabali Temple, Imphal Museum, Second World War Cemeteries. Later proceed to visit Sadu Chiru Waterfalls which is approx 28 km/ 1 ½ hr drive from Imphal City. Return to the hotel. Overnight stay at Imphal.
DAY 03 – MOREH – TAMU EXCURSION
Today start early for Moreh – the Indo-Myanmar (Burma) town to maximize your day. Stop at Khongjom War Memorial – dedicated to Major General Paona Brajabashi and the Anglo-Manipuri War of 1891. Take a Scenic Halt at Tengnoupal at 5,000 feet, this is the highest point on the road, offering panoramic views of the Indo-Myanmar border and the historic Shenam Saddle. On your arrival at Moreh, explore the bustling Moreh Bazaar, a commercial hub famous for Southeast Asian electronics, household goods, and local crafts. Now Cross the India-Myanmar Friendship Gate to visit Tamu (Myanmar). Explore the Tamu Buddhist Monastery Nagayon Buddha Temple, The Monastery Watch-Tower, located within the same monastic grounds, this tower is a notable landmark. Visitors can climb to the top for a panoramic view of the Tamu-Moreh border and the surrounding countryside and the Namphalong Market for Burmese goods. Enjoy authentic Indo-Burmese cuisine like Mohinga or Khau Suey in Tamu. Head back early, as the security gates at Tengnoupal typically close by 4:00 PM. Before leaving Moreh look for Sri Angala Parameshwari Sri Muneeswarar Temple, a prominent Tamil temple reflecting the unique local Burmese-Tamil heritage. Later return to Imphal for overnight stay.
DAY 04 – LOKTAK LAKE & KEIBUL LAMJAO EXCURSION
After breakfast, proceed for a full day excursion to Loktak Lake and surrounding. Start your day visiting INA Museum at Moirang – the place where Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose (Indian National Army) first hoisted the Indian Tricolors. Later visit to Keibul Lamjao National Park is sharing the border with Loktak Lake, the last natural habitat of the endangered marsh-dwelling brow-antlered deer of Manipur called Sangai. It is the only Floating National Park in the world which is composed of large masses of floating weed (called Phumdi in local dialect). Take a traditional wooden short boat ride (15–45 mins) through the circular phumdis, while longer 2-hour explorations provide a deeper look at the ecosystem. If time permits, you may also visit Karang Island by passenger boat for local vantage points. Then Visit Sendra Island and Park. Watch the sunset over the “Jewel of Manipur” before heading back to Imphal. Return to the hotel. Overnight stay at Imphal.
DAY 05 – IMPHAL DEPARTURE
On the concluding day of your tour, check out of your hotel post breakfast. Get a transfer to Imphal Airport to catch a flight back home.
