DAY 01 – BAGDOGRA/NJP – GANGTOK
Arrive at Bagogra Airport / New Jalpaiguri Railway Station (NJP) and start for Gangtok – the capital of the mountainous northern Indian state of Sikkim. En Route, pause at the Coronation Bridge for photos, or the Teesta River View Point for refreshments and views of the valley. Check into your hotel and take a leisurely walk at MG Marg – Gangtok’s main pedestrian shopping street. Overnight stay at Gangtok.
DAY 02 – TSOMGO LAKE-NEW BABA MANDIR-NATHU LA EXCURSION
After a sumptuous breakfast visit Tsomgo Lake (12,400 ft.) – sits high in the mountains, a glacial lake that changes its shade with the seasons, creating a magical atmosphere. Surrounded by rugged peaks and often wrapped in mist or snow, it is one of Sikkim’s most enchanting natural spots. & Baba Mandir (Baba Harbhajan Singh Memorial) (13,200 ft.). You may also visit Nathu La (pass) on the same day on prior request (minimum 5 days) & issuance of the PAP (Protected Area Permit) from the Indian Army. Nathu La – stands tall at the Indo-China border, offering travelers a dramatic high-altitude experience. The icy winds, Himalayan peaks, and historical significance make the journey thrilling and memorable. Spend overnight at hotel in Gangtok.
DAY 03 – GANGTOK LOCAL SIGHTSEEING
After breakfast start for a Full day city tour covering Tashi View Point, Ganesh Tok, Hanuman Tok, Flower Exhibition Centre – Ridge Park, Cottage Industry and Handicraft Centre (Closed on Sunday and 1st and 3rd Saturday of the month), Institute of Tibetology (Closed on Sunday), Dro-dul Chorten, Enchey Monastery. Overnight stay at Gangtok.
DAY 04 – GANGTOK – KALIMPONG
After breakfast check out of the hotel and transfer to Kalimpong – serene hill station, nestled in the Himalayan foothills at an altitude of about 1,250 metres. Kalimpong offers a quieter, more laid-back atmosphere characterized by its mild climate, colonial-era architecture, and lush nurseries. Historically, it served as a major gateway for the mule-driven trade between India and Tibet. On arrival check in to the hotel. In the afternoon visit Deolo Hills.You can enjoy a peaceful walk through Delo Park or try Paragliding for an adrenaline rush. Also visit Pine View Nursery on the way back to hotel. Overnight stay at Kalimpong.
DAY 05 – KALIMPONG SIGHTSEEING
After a delightful breakfast start for full day sightseeing. Visit Morgan House (Tourism Property), Durpin Monastery (Zang Dhok Palri Phodang), located on Durpin Dara Hill, this is Kalimpong’s largest monastery. It houses rare Buddhist scriptures and offers a bird’s-eye view of the town. Mangal Dham – a serene Hindu temple dedicated to Guruji Shri Mangaldasji Maharaj. Return to your hotel in the evening and relax or you may spend rest of the evening by strolling through the local market on your own. It’s the perfect place to shop for Tibetan handicrafts, local Kalimpong cheese, and tea. Overnight stay at Kalimpong.
DAY 06 – KALIMPONG – DARJEELING VIA LAMAHATTA
Start after an early breakfast to make the most of the day. About an hour into the drive, stop at Lover’s Meet View Point to witness the spectacular confluence of the Teesta and Rangeet rivers. Drive through lush, rolling tea estates – Peshok Tea Gardens that offer great photo opportunities. On the way visit Lamahatta Eco Park. Stroll through the manicured gardens and pine forests. Take the short but steep 750m uphill trek to the sacred mountain lake. Climb the wooden watchtower for panoramic views of Mt. Kanchenjunga. On arrival at Darjeeling check in to the hotel and overnight stay at Darjeeling.
DAY 07 – DARJEELING LOCAL SIGHTSEEING
Today early in the morning (3.30 am) – go out to visit Tiger Hill, it’s a destination by itself offering not just great views during sunrise; it’s a place where you can soak yourself with Himalayan serenity anytime during the day. Later visit World famous Ghoom Monastery and Batasia Loop with The War Memorial on your way back. It is fascinating to watch the toy train with its way round the loop. A glorious view of snowy peak and town can be seen from this place. Return to your hotel for freshen up & breakfast. Then proceed to visit Peace Pagoda, Japanese Temple, Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park (Thursday closed), Tenzing Rock, Tibetan Refugee self-help Centre (Sunday closed), Tea Garden and The Darjeeling Ropeway, also known as the Rangeet Valley Cable Car, is India’s first cable car system, connecting Singamari in Darjeeling to Singla Bazaar. The ropeway operates from 9:30 AM to 4:00 PM (10 AM – 2 PM in peak season), closed on the 19th of each month.
DAY 08 – DARJEELING – BAGDOGRA / NJP – DEPARTURE
After your breakfast check out from hotel and take the departure transfer to NJP Railway Station / Bagdogra Airport for your onward journey.
