DAY 01 – GUWAHATI AIRPORT / RAILWAY STATION – SHILLONG
Meet and greet on arrival at Guwahati Airport / Railway Station and transfer to Shillong. Capital of Meghalaya. Also known as “The Abode of Clouds”, one of the smallest states in India. It is the headquarters of the East Khasi Hills district and is situated at an average altitude of 4,908 feet (1,496 m) above sea level, with the highest point being Shillong Peak at 6,449 feet (1,966 m). En-route visit Umium Lake and head straight to the Umiam Lake Viewpoint located on the highway for a stunning panoramic view of the vast lake surrounded by the East Khasi hills. This is a prime spot for photography. Check in Hotel. Overnight in Shillong.
DAY 02 – SHILLONG – CHERRAPUNJEE – SHILLONG
MAWLYNNONG AND DAWKI EXCURSION Early morning you may drive to Mawlynnong (90 kms from Shillong), the cleanest village in Asia. Visit the Tree House, Living Root Bridge, Sky View Point, Balancing rock. Also Visit Dawki. It primarily owes its popularity to the breathtaking Umngot River, often called the Dawki River. Known for its crystal-clear waters that mirror the azure sky above, this river is a sight to behold. In the evening return to Shillong. Overnight at Shillong.
DAY 03 – MAWLYNNONG AND DAWKI EXCURSION
Early morning you may drive to Mawlynnong (90 kms from Shillong), the cleanest village in Asia. Visit the Tree House, Living Root Bridge, Sky View Point, Balancing rock. Also Visit Dawki. DAY 04 – SHILLONG HALF SIGHTSEEING – GUWAHATI
After Breakfast check out of the hotel and visit the local sightseeing places covering Lady Hydi Park, Ward`s Lake, Cathedral of Mary Help of Christians, Don Bosco Museum and Polo ground and then transfer to Guwahati. In the evening, you may enjoy the newly built Brahmaputra River Front. Overnight stay at Guwahati.
DAY 05 – GUWAHATI LOCAL SIGHTSEEING
After breakfast, proceed to visit Maa Kamakhya Temple – the spiritual heart of Assam, is one of India’s most significant and mysterious pilgrimage sites. Located atop Nilachal Hill in Guwahati – considered the oldest and most sacred of the 51 Shakti Peethas. Then experience a ferry ride on mighty Brahmaputra and visit Umananda Temple. Also if time permits you may visit the Navagraha Temple too. Overnight stay in Guwahati.
DAY 06 – GUWAHATI AIRPORT / RAILWAY STATION DEPARTURE
After breakfast check out from the hotel and if time permits visit the Purva Tirupati Sri Balaji Temple and then get transfer to Guwahati Airport/ Railway Station for onward journey.
