DAY 01 – DELHI ARRIVAL
Arrive in Delhi – India’s capital territory and check into your hotel. You may spend the rest of the day in leisure or in the evening, visit the India Gate and drive past the Rashtrapati Bhavan (President’s House) to see the colonial-era architecture beautifully lit at night. Overnight stay at Delhi.
Day 02 – OLD & NEW DELHI EXPLORATION
Start early to visit the Lal Qila (Red Fort), 17th-century fortress built by Emperor Shah Jahan. Highlights include the Diwan-i-Aam (Hall of Public Audience) and the ornate Diwan-i-Khas. Visit Khari Baoli, Asia’s largest spice market, and grab a quick snack like paranthas at Paranthe Wali Gali. Drive past the Rashtrapati Bhavan (President’s House) and the Sansad Bhavan to reach India Gate, a 42-metre war memorial dedicated to Indian soldiers. Visit Humayun’s Tomb – a UNESCO World Heritage site and the architectural inspiration for the Taj Mahal. It is best visited in the afternoon light. Also Lotus Temple – Known for its striking petal-shaped white marble design, this Bahá’í House of Worship. End your sightseeing at the world’s tallest brick minaret – Qutub Minar. Visit during the “golden hour” for the best photography. Overnight stay at Delhi.
DAY 03 – DELHI – AGRA & SIGHTSEEING
Start early to avoid city traffic and reach Agra – a city on the banks of the Yamuna river in Uttar Pradesh. En-route visit the Tomb of Akbar at Sikandra, featuring a unique blend of Islamic and Hindu architecture. On your arrival at Agra begin your tour at the Taj Mahal. Explore Agra Fort this UNESCO World Heritage site, focusing on the Diwan-i-Am and Musamman Burj for views of the Taj. Visit Itimad-ud-Daulah (Baby Taj) or Mehtab Bagh for a sunset view of the Taj Mahal across the river. Overnight stay at Agra.
DAY 04 – FATEHPUR-SIKRI EXCURSION
Today drive to Fatehpur-Sikri (twin cities) from Agra in the morning hours. On arrival, enter through the massive Buland Darwaza. Spend about 2.5 hours exploring the palace complex and the religious sector. Also visit Jamia Masjid, Tomb of Salim Chishti, Panch Mahal, Diwan-e-Khas, Jodha Bai’s Palace. Return to Agra by evening for overnight stay.
DAY 05 – AGRA – JAIPUR
Check-out of your hotel at Agra and head to Jaipur – the capital of Rajasthan. It evokes the royal family that once ruled the region and that, in 1727, founded what is now called the Old City, or “Pink City” for its trademark building color. En-route visit Chand Baori, Abhaneri – one of India’s deepest and most visually stunning stepwells, featuring 3,500 narrow steps over 13 stories. On arrival, check-in to your pre-booked hotel. Overnight stay at Jaipur.
DAY 06 – JAIPUR EXPLORATION
Start your day with Amer Fort. Explore this massive hilltop fort known for its artistic Hindu elements and mirror-palace (Sheesh Mahal). On your way back to the city, make a brief photo stop at the Water Palace – Jal Mahal, which appears to float in the middle of Man Sagar Lake. Visit the iconic Hawa Mahal. Its unique honeycomb facade was designed so royal women could observe street festivities without being seen. In the afternoon visit City Palace. Explore the royal residence’s courtyards, gardens, and museums showcasing royal costumes and weapons. Visit Jantar Mantar – a UNESCO World Heritage site featuring the world’s largest stone sundial and other fascinating astronomical instruments. End your day driving up to Nahargarh Fort for panoramic sunset views over the entire Pink City. It’s the most popular spot for photography as the city lights up. Overnight stay at Jaipur.
DAY 07 – JAIPUR DEPARTURE
On the final day of your trip to “India’s Golden Triangle”, head to Jaipur Airport / Railway Station for your onward journey with an unforgettable memory.
