DAY 01 – COIMBATORE ARRIVAL
Meet and Greet at Coimbatore International Airport / Coimbatore Junction. Check into your hotel. In the evening, head to the Isha Yoga Center at the foothills of the Velliangiri Mountains. Meditate at the Dhyanalinga and visit the Linga Bhairavi Temple. Witness the iconic 112-foot Adiyogi Statue. Watch the spectacular, free 3D Light & Sound Laser Show at the Adiyogi statue. Stay overnight in Coimbatore.
DAY 02 – COIMBATORE EXPLORATION
Post breakfast go out for a full day exploration of Coimbatore. Coimbatore also known as Kovai is located on the banks of the Noyyal River and surrounded by the Western Ghats. Start with the ancient Perur Pateeswarar Temple to admire its stone-carved pillars. Next you may visit the unique GD Naidu Car Museum to see vintage automobiles. Spend your afternoon shopping for authentic Kovai Kora Cotton sarees. In the evening, stroll around Valankulam Lake for sunset views. Stay overnight in Coimbatore.
DAY 03 – COIMBATORE – MADURAI
Check-out of your hotel at Coimbatore and take an early 210 km drive to Madurai. Check into your hotel upon arrival. Later go and explore the massive, 17th-century Thirumalai Nayakkar Mahal Palace. Check out the historic Gandhi Memorial Museum. In the evening, head to the legendary Madurai Meenakshi Amman Temple. Allocate at least 3 hours to navigate its immense corridors and towering Gopurams. Stay overnight in Madurai.
DAY 04 – MADURAI – RAMESHWARAM
Today morning, drive to the holy island town of Rameswaram. On the way, stop and take photos at the spectacular Pamban Bridge, India’s historic sea bridge. Check into your hotel on arrival. Later visit the APJ Abdul Kalam National Memorial to see the late president’s life exhibits. Evening, relax at Agni Theertham Beach. Visit the nearby Panchamukhi Hanuman Temple. Stay overnight in Rameshwaram.
DAY 05 – RAMESHWARAM & DHANUSHKODI
Today early morning, head to the Ramanathaswamy Temple. Many devotees follow the age old tradition of bathing in the 22 sacred indoor water wells before entering the main inner sanctum. After darshan, drive to Dhanushkodi, a ghost town destroyed by a 1964 cyclone. See the ruins of the church and railway station. In the evening, witness the sunset at Land’s End, where the Indian Ocean and the Bay of Bengal meet. Stay overnight in Rameshwaram.
DAY 06 – RAMESHWARAM – KANYAKUMARI
Today take an early 300 km coastal road trip down to Kanyakumari. Stop by the multi-tiered Suchindram Thanumalayan Temple on your way into town. Check into your hotel. Head to Sunset Point in the evening or the beachfront to watch the sun go down over the ocean. Stay overnight in Kanyakumari.
DAY 07 – KANYAKUMARI EXPLORATION & DEPARTURE
Wake up very early & catch the sunrise at the Kanyakumari seashore, where three oceans merge. Take the short ferry ride to the offshore Vivekananda Rock Memorial and the grand Thiruvalluvar Statue. Return & Check out from your hotel. Visit the orange-hued Kanyakumari Amman Temple and the Mahatma Gandhi Memorial shell. After lunch, head to Kanyakumari Station or drive to Trivandrum Airport for your journey home.
